Fishing seems to have become less productive lately, has there been any changes made to the coding for that?

For example:
On W6 my stated average is over 1.2 mil / hour while my consumption is under 800K / hour.
This would seem to indicate that over the average time span (whatever that is) I should acquire 400K+ / hour, or 9.6 mil / day. I can tell you that is not happening. On 4 spot checks today I was below that average on each one, on 3 of them I was significanlty below the average and below my consumption. My food total as of 5 minutes ago was LESS than it was 5 hours ago... something that should not be happening at all if the averages are anywhere near accurate.

Nothing has changed today at all.

I've noticed the same. on w10 a week or so ago I burned enough ports so I would be even(roughly since fishing isn't exact) on food and I ended up losing a couple mil after a couple of days. is it possible that better fishing nets doesn't work maybe? not really sure but I don't think it's something that just started happening, not for me anyways

I agree, I am at better fishing nets (7) on most worlds now, however, my production has gone down it seems.

One thing that is sure though...it hasn't gone up even with the BFN.

I am wondering that as well, and also still curious how the average is determined and what the time span is?

If the average is just fishing boats * 19 (or even 19 + BFN + NB) and is not tied to the actual fishing then it is worthless.

If the average is an actual calculation, but the time span is a month, then yes we could have weeks of negative fishing.

I am hoping that the average is a benchmark or set point that the actual fishing algorithm adjusts to make sure it is accurate and the time span for that adjustment is at the most every 24 hours...

I was thinking the same myself. The amount harvested always seems to be 2/3 of the average.

i have to agree with the OP, my kingdom should be getting +50k per hour on average, but for the last week my food levels have stayed roughly the same. about what would be expected if i didn't have better fishing nets researched. can someone from the Dev Team check if BFN is actually working?

Should the calc not be 16 + (BFN+NB) ?

16 being the base rate average of a single fishing boat.
