Hey Smiffy,

I just want to say that really appreciate the attitude that you shared in the discussion of the light war in the Esnoth thread. Because of this quote I can see that you understand how the game works. Being on top in this game almost by necessity makes you the universal enemy. I haven't yet figured out if it makes sense to give my identity on the globals. I really just lurk here and only come out of lurking to help out new players who have non-partisan questions.

In particular, since I am not in light (as you could tell from my earlier post on choosing an alliance) it does automatically seem to make good strategic sense to call attention to myself by talking trash on the globals. (because basically light can destroy anyone they want in the NW area that I live in.) I know that for some people talking trash on the globals is a fun part of the game but it isn't for me. I won't even talk trash via pigeon.

So I shouldn't have even said that thing about light. I was really just trying to give and honest answer to the original question about how to choose and alliance. I faind the globals most useful when we are discussing the merit of fishing vs farming, and not so much when we are discussing the relative honor of various alliances. (AS far as that is concerned I am pretty clear that the alliance on top is the bad guy until I am on top and then everyone else is a bunch of whiners. Or at least that is the way it seems to work on the globals.)

So I know that does not answer your question and perhaps I am weak for not answering it, but that is my reality.

For what it is worth by NW is now well under 10K so I am no threat to anyone right now.

Pangea, we've talked about this before. You aren't in an alliance! The definition of alliance states that it's 2 or more groups banding together to achieve a common goal.

Then you should report it as a bug, otherwise the rules of this game clearly make Ranger an alliance.

Just as long as you're not talking to yourself in those forums.

We can get you the help you need but first of all you need to admit there's a problem!! :P

Yo Little

Fair enough not giving colony names here, your discretion is probably a smart move. I have no issue and you have a well developed view of the game, i'm intrigued lol shoot me a pig Smiths Wood W6.
